Panoramic view of the Vercors giants
This pleasantly varied itinerary includes hamlets, plains and forest tracks. It’ll take you exploring the beautiful landscape of Gresse en Vercors! The highlight is the Col de l’Allimas pass where you'll enjoy a magnificent view over the Mont-Aiguille mountain!
From the building housing the lifts, take the tarmac road towards the village.
Cross the hamlet of “La Ville”, then climb the gentle slope to the Dolomites car park. Your first descent is on a fairly wide natural track offering a beautiful view of the Grand-Veymont and the Eastern Vercors Balcony. Continue to the bottom of the valley and take the wooden bridge across the stream to reach the hamlet of Les Deux. You’ll then climb to the Croix de Serre Monet pass before descending a track down to the roundabout. Follow the tarmac road towards the resort for 400 metres, then turn left towards the campsite. Head for the Fayolles woods for a pleasant climb to the Pas du Bru and the Croix des Perrins. There’s a lovely descent before you climb again to the hamlet of Uclaire, then take an easy track to the Col de l’Allimas. This is the highest point of the itinerary, so take the time to enjoy the view over the emblematic peak of Mont-Aiguille! The return trip follows a forest path to the “Odyssée Verte” (a forest discovery trail in the treetops) and back to your departure point.
