Le Pré du Playnet
After starting from the charming village of Miribel-Lanchâtre, this hike between woods and meadows reaches the Pré du Playnet and its panoramas on the eastern barrier of Vercors, on the Trièves and the Dévoluy.
Leaving Miribel-Lanchâtre (Mairie parking lot), head for Bayanne and Combe Ravier to join the path at the village exit. At Bayanne, turn left onto the path that climbs up into the forest. It crosses meadows, then after a short climb, veers right to cross the Cassoulet stream. Continue along the path, which rises steeply to reach Combe Ravier.
From here, turn left along the ridges towards Pré du Playnet. After a series of steep switchbacks, the path skirts the cliffs (take care!) and leads to a wide meadow at Le Planey (panoramic view of the surrounding mountains). Continue along the ridges to the Col du Soliet. Turn left to descend towards Miribel. At the end of the forest, the path crosses meadows to reach Le Vernay. Continue towards Mirebel la Pierre along a narrow road that reaches the D8. Follow the D8 to the left, before finding the path leading down to the viewpoint indicator. Continue downhill to Pierre Ronde. Join the village by the road (four banal, Château). At the end of the road, turn left into the Mairie parking lot.
