(1) From the esplanade of Plan de Ville, follow the path at the corner of the Maison du Parc until you reach the town hall. Pass in front of the town hall and continue straight on “Route de Perquelin.” Pass the Raidlight Vertical store and continue until you reach the Croix de Saint-Claude at the exit of the village. At the Croix de Saint-Claude, continue for about 300 meters on the Route de Perquelin, which rises above the Guiers Mort.
(2) Don’t miss the Pont de Belmont on your right, which you will cross before heading uphill toward the Antonins. Enjoy a refreshing break on the bench before tackling the steep path that winds up to the Route des Antonins. At the road, turn right and continue to the hamlet of Les Antonins. Cross the charming hamlet and continue along the road. After about 300 meters, take the left fork at the first junction. A short climb will lead you to the hamlet of Mollard-Bellet.
(3) At the first intersection, turn right to reach the road. In Mollard-Bellet, turn left onto the road and continue for about 2 kilometers, passing the hamlets of Gontière, Mollarière, and Majeure until you reach the Marchandière sign.
(4) Turn right towards the Croix de Marchandière, descend into the hamlet, cross the bridge, and ascend to the Croix de Marchandière. At the road, turn right towards Saint Hugues de Chartreuse. You will pass by a bread oven, a basin, and beautiful Carthusian buildings. Continue for about 300 meters until you reach an intersection marking the entrance to the hamlet of Saint Hugues. Continue straight until you reach the church of Saint Hugues and the Arcabas Museum.
(5) At the Saint Hugues cemetery, continue along the road towards La Diat for about 1 kilometer. When you see the Pont des Corbeillers, do not cross it; instead, take the path to your right that descends into the forest at the Pont des Bargettes sign, then head towards La Diat/Saint-Pierre de Chartreuse. The trail descends through the forest, crosses the river, and continues to the left. You will quickly reach the Bargettes sign near the road. Cross carefully to join the trail directly in front of you. Continue along the river until you reach the Passerelle de l’Herbetan. Do not cross the footbridge; instead, continue straight towards La Diat. You will reach the road before crossing the Pont de la Diat. After the bridge, take the path to your right toward Sous les 4 chemins/Saint-Pierre de Chartreuse. Cross the Couzon, and you will quickly find the road that ascends towards Saint-Pierre de Chartreuse.
At the Sous les 4 chemins sign, turn right and stay on the road until you reach the bus stop at Les 4 Chemins. Then, take the steep 4 Chemins trail that ascends to the left. The trail crosses the road once before continuing to arrive in the village at the Place de la Mairie.
Finally, return to the esplanade of Plan de Ville.
