Departure : Park at the Col de Fraisse parking lot near Monestier de Clermont. Find the first signpost entitled "Col de Fraisse". Follow the signs for "Combe mille" on a downhill forest track.

1) When you come to a crow's-foot, turn right onto the path that climbs towards the orientation table. There's a good climb ahead. Reach the "Les Pignes" signpost.

2) From "Les Pignes", head back towards the orientation table. Take the path through the forest. A series of bends takes you quickly up to the summit and the orientation table. From the orientation table you have a magnificent view of the Vercors to your right and the Matheysine region to your left. Below you'll find Lac du Monteynard. Take a break (picnic table available). Take the path heading south again, and a good descent awaits you. Watch out for the junction in the forest, always go straight ahead. Later, there's a steep climb up to a summit. Then a steep descent to the "Bois de Maissenas" post.

3) From "Bois de Maissenas", turn left towards "Combe mille". A wide forest track takes you gradually downhill to the "Le Puy" post. You'll see some lovely scenery along the way, so keep your eyes peeled.

4) From the "Le Puy" post, continue along a wide track, still heading towards "Combe mille". The path also offers views of the Matheysine mountains. At the "Serre des côtes" sign, turn right towards the Belvedere. Continue along this path until you pass a farm, where you should continue straight ahead off the road. Arrive at the belvedere, with its magnificent view of the lake. The turquoise color of the water will not leave you indifferent. This is the perfect place to recharge your batteries.

5) Continue in the opposite direction until you reach the "Serre des Côtes" sign. Go straight on towards "Combe mille". A wide, shady forest track will take you to the next post.

6) From "Combe mille" continue on the same track towards "Col de Fraisse" to get back to your car. There's a short climb at the end to reach the pass.
