Start: Park on the Place de la Mairie in Clelles. Near the Bistrot de la place you'll find the first signpost labelled "Clelles".

1) From this post, follow the signs for "Charlon". Take the main road to the right through the village of Clelles. Once out of the village, you'll find the "Charlon" sign.

2) From the "Charlon" signpost, turn right on this road towards "Gâteau". Here a small climb begins to reach a small farm. Continue straight ahead, crossing the many fields that surround you. You come to a crow's-foot. The "Gâteau" sign is in front of you, follow the signs for "Longefonds".

3) A steep descent takes you quickly to the charming hamlet of Longefonds, with its pretty little houses. When you reach a post in the village, turn right in the direction of Longefonds. You can see the little Chapelle de Longefonds, which is well worth a look. Opposite the church you'll find the next signpost, "Longefonds".

4) From the "Longefonds" post, head for "Pontou". To do this, leave the hamlet and go back across the fields. A short climb begins. You'll soon reach Pontou.

5) From the "Pontou" post, head for Clelles by taking the path on the right, which climbs further, but into the forest. In the distance you can see Mont Aiguille and its distinctive shape. The path is pleasant and takes you through fields. You then come to the village of Clelles, where you'll have to get back on the tarmac road. Descend to the village, passing the mill. Then you're back in the village, where you can enjoy a bite to eat after all that hard work.
