Car free-hike 2 days & 1 night - Platary tour in the Trieves mountains

A car-free hike where you can take the bus to and from the site. Make sure you know the time and day of traffic before you leave.
Please make arrangements for overnight bivouacs.
A two-day getaway between the cliffs of the Vercors and the bocage of the Trièves.
Trièves, around the Platary summit.
Overnight stays can be made at the Esparron refuge (reservation required), in an unguarded hut or in a bivouac.
Itinerary with public transport available.
Start: Clelles-Mens station (830 m) - 1 h 25 (4.3 km, D+ 216 m, D- 59 m)
On leaving the station, turn left for 100 m onto the road leading to Chichilianne (left). It skirts farmland, crosses the D7 and enters the forest below the road. After a steep climb and crossing an irrigation canal, join the road and follow it for 700 m.
[Alternatively, go to the end of the canal on the right and avoid part of the road.]
When you reach the D7b, follow it for 20 m before taking the path up to Pierre aux Corneilles. Descend to the hamlet of ChâteauV ieux, and continue in the direction of
towards Chichilianne as far as the church.
1) Chichilianne (990 m) - 1 h 20 (3.8 km, D+ 230 m, D- 23 m)
From the church, head southeast towards the Col du Prayer. At the Pont des eaux blanches, leave the wide forest track for a smaller path on the left. Take the D7 road to the Col du Prayer.
2) Col du Prayer (or Prayet) (1202 m) - 35 min (2.1 km, D+ 20 m, D- 146 m)
Descend towards Esparron (south). Once you reach the bottom of the valley, climb back up and discover the Esparron oratory. Cross another valley of the ruisseau des Ruines to find the signs for the refuge d'Esparron.
3) Refuge de la ferme d'Esparron (1080 m) - 1 h 45 (5.9 km, D+ 96 m, D- 387 m)
On day 2, set off from the refuge in the direction of Le Percy on the carriage trail. After 800 m, at the parking lot, leave the track for a path crossing the Prayet stream. After a long level crossing, descend to pass the hamlets of Chabulière and des Blancs, then the D1075. At Serre des Blancs, join Le Percy via Pissorelle.
4) Le Percy (790 m) - 2 h 05 (6.1 km, D+ 14 m, D- 1065 m)
In the village, head for Clelles (to the north-west, on a local road and farm track). After Longefonds, at Pontou, head for Clelles Gare (steep climb). Shortly afterwards, cross the D1075 and pass under the railroad line. The route then follows the railway, with a few deviations. When you reach the station, pass over the entrance to the railway tunnel before returning
before returning to the main building.
