Located in the heart of the Cirque de Saint Même, this family-friendly trail offers a hike through the forest and along the stream to discover the Pisse du Guiers.

This brief stroll will lead you to the final waterfall in the Cirque de St Même. You'll follow the river from the cirque's entrance, then the path delves deeper into the forest, offering a refreshing respite. After crossing the small wooden footbridge, let the sound of the water guide you along the rocky path until the waterfall comes into view. Emerging from the sheer cliff face, the waterfall creates a natural mist, especially in spring.

Exercise caution throughout the hike, as the trails can be wet and at times run along the edge of cliffs. The forests you'll traverse are privately owned, so please stick to the marked paths.

IMPORTANT: Camping and fires are STRICTLY PROHIBITED in the Cirque de St Même.

1/ From the car park (for which a charge is made in high season), follow the closed road along the right bank of the Guiers Vif. Initially tarmacked, the path then becomes more varied. 2/ Go straight on at the next signpost. 3/ Then turn left to reach the foot of the La Pisse du Guiers waterfall. Retrace your steps to continue along the other bank of the Guiers Vif. Throughout the walk, take care as the paths are wet, steep and sometimes on the edge of a cliff. The forests through which you pass are private, so keep to the marked paths. PLEASE NOTE: Bivouacs and fires are FORBIDDEN in the Cirque de St Même.
