La Calèche
Ten minutes south of Grenoble, Varces Allières-et-Risset.
Until 1982, the building in which the Pizzeria is located consisted of a barn, stables and a house, built in the early 20th century. Rustic country style.
The restaurant seats 54, the shaded, partially covered terrace around 30 & the picnic area with wooden tables and benches 24 (terrace & picnic area open from May to end of September).
La Calèche offers a wide variety of homemade pizzas, tomato-based or white-based, well-topped and cooked over a wood-fired oven.
The oven is an open fire in the restaurant, and pizza lovers of all ages spend a good deal of time watching the pizzas being baked.
The menu is varied and should satisfy customers.
Pizzas may be an asset, but more gourmet customers will prefer a traditional menu featuring starters, pastas, fish, salads, meats and mixed menus.
For those with a hearty appetite, there's our potato-based menu (potatoes are baked in the oven with one or other cheese, or several cheeses, and served with cold meats or salad...).
New suggestions are offered every season.
Simple, home-cooked food, well-stocked plates, reasonable prices - that's what we offer our customers.
And to end a meal on a sweet note, our menu offers a range of ice cream and alcoholic beverages, as well as home-made pastries and desserts.
