Trek: the secrets of Rissiou
An itinerary around the Rissiou massif, a pearl that deserves to be walked on, remaining authentic. 2 days with very different atmospheres:
The first day will have changing landscapes, the second day will be more intimate and the forest will be your main ally, crossing hamlets for a gentler return to civilisation. Various atmospheres to allow you a total immersion in nature, far from the beaten track.
During this itinerary, you will come across all the facilities of the largest hydraulic installation in France: the Grand' Maison dam. Its construction began in 1978 and was completed in 1985. It was put into operation in 1987. Located on the Eau d'Olle, the Grand'Maison dam is the most powerful dam in France. It can hold up to 137 million m3 of water (100 million m3 of which comes from melting snow).
Where to sleep? In a gite: Les Favets, Rivier d'Allemond 04 76 80 72 74, to be booked as the accommodation has only 8 places.
