Loop of the Bois du St Eynard
Nice little family loop around the village, with a very nice view on Chamechaude !

1 - Departure from the village square. Church of the XIIth century : polychrome wooden altarpiece (XVIIth century), contemporary stained glasses of Arcabas.
2 - Go downhill on the left towards the parking of La Jacobine that you pass.
3 - At the Calvary of the Croix du Rocher, turn left towards Les Combes.
4 - At the basin, go down to the right towards Fontenettes and La Faurie.
5 - Cross the Vence river, take the path on the right and cross a spruce forest then go up to Fort du St Eynard. At the junction, follow the GR 9 which goes up on the right. At the forest acrobatic park, cross the field and take the direction of La Faurie. Pass under the Grand Sommard ski lift. Cross a forest of fir trees, spruces and beeches until you reach the meadow of La Palle which you cross.
6 - Panoramic view : l'Ecoutoux, la Pinéa and Chamechaude.
7 - Go down to the hamlet of La Faurie. At the bottom, take the small road on the left towards Croix de St Bruno. Drive along the hamlet of Bordelière. Follow the road on the right down to the hamlet of Pillonières, always on the right, to the hamlet of Gouillat.
8 - Ferme de la Faurie (cattle breeding)
9 - At the crossroads with the RD 512, cross and take direction Aire de pique-nique.
10 - At the hamlet of Beauches turn right, cross the picnic area and return to the village center.
