If you’re in the mood for adrenalin and thrills, this is the list for you. Get ready to push your limits.
Try ice diving in Chamrousse
Belledonne
One of Isère’s more unusual activities can be found below the ice – and you don’t need any prior experience to try it. Taking place high in the mountains, this expertly supervised experience invites adventurers to sink into the icy waters (all equipment is provided and you won’t feel the cold) and to release yourself into the icy arms of Mother Nature. Believe us, breathing under the ice is child’s play, although you do need to be aged 12 and older to participate.
The meeting point is at Roberts Lakes (lacs Roberts) in Chamrousse.
Learn to airboard in Lans en Vercors
Vercors
Wearing warm winter clothes and boots, a hat, gloves, mask and ski helmet, you’re ready to get off the beaten track and venture into pristine, snowy areas with your airboard. This lightweight, easy-to-handle inflatable sled opens up a world of freedom and fun, guaranteeing that laughter is just a slope away!
Get started with e-bikes in Les 2 Alpes
Oisans
Specialising in guided electric mountain bike outings, Trail Hunter MTB offers exhilarating on-snow adventures that promise the thrill of gliding and control, with vertical drops of up to 400 metres. For a unique experience, night-time outings are also available, culminating in a delicious dinner at the summit!
Climb an ice waterfall in Lans en Vercors
Vercors
For those wanting to learn how to climb an ice waterfall, the Aigle in Lans en Vercors, is the perfect place for a supervised and safe introduction to this thrilling winter sport. Experts are on hand to equip, guide and help you learn the necessary mountain climbing techniques. This is an activity that allows you to challenge yourself and get out of your comfort zone while you learn from mountain enthusiasts.
Paragliding on skis
Ski resorts
Fly high above the mountains on a tandem paragliding flight! Starting from a gentle ski slope, you’ll ski down while securely attached to your instructor. When the sail catches the wind, it will lift you both above the slopes, offering an unforgettable experience and breathtaking views of the resort before gently landing in the valley below. Isère offers numerous take-off points across its nine main international ski resorts, particularly in Vercors and Oisans.
