5 unusual winter activities
Isère takes mountain adventures to another level with immersive cultural experiences. The following activities are unusual, one-of-a-kind experiences which you’ll only find in Isère. So come along and enjoy!
Hiking-piano experience
Chartreuse
Alexandre Guhéry, the “Ear of the Lynx,” combines his roles as a mountain guide and former pianist into a unique “hiking-piano” experience. He invites visitors to explore the Chartreuse massif through sound, where the crunch of snow and crack of branches create a soothing atmosphere. Depending on the season, Alexandre moves his piano, playing in grand vistas during warmer months and in barns or chalets during winter hikes. In these intimate settings, each performance offers uninterrupted music that envelops the audience. Before each concert, he guides participants to slow down and connect with their surroundings, lowering their heart rates and sharpening their hearing. These experiences focus on connection rather than performance, providing a lovely escape from everyday worries.
