Saint François-Régis Chapel at St Barthélémy de Séchilienne
A simple 18th-century chapel overlooking the village, it is dedicated to Saint-François-Régis.
In 1746, the commune's inhabitants asked the bishop of Grenoble for permission to build a chapel dedicated to Saint-François-Régis, an Ardèche saint who two centuries earlier had answered their prayers and protected their animals from a contagious disease.
The Saint-François-Régis chapel in Saint-Barthélémy-de-Séchilienne has preserved the tradition of salt until recent times: every summer, farmers had their priest bless a little salt, which they mixed with their animals to protect them from an epidemic.
Tucked away in a green setting, the village is easily accessible from the road leading from Saint-Barthélémy-de-Séchilienne to Laffrey.
A hiking trail runs alongside.
