Home to Isère’s two largest ski areas, Alpe d’Huez Grand Domaine Ski and Les Deux Alpes, Oisans offers a remarkable variety of slopes and some of the longest vertical drops in the world, with well-groomed pistes extending up to 2,300 m in a single descent.

The highest point in this stunning massif is the Pic Lory, towering at 4,088 m.

In the heart of the Oisans massif, this resort is directly connected by cable car to Alpe d’Huez Grand Domaine Ski. Surrounded by pine trees, it offers stunning views of the Belledonne massif. My secret Alps

Vaujany

In the heart of the Oisans, Vaujany combines the charm and welcoming atmosphere of a village resort with a fantastic playground thanks to its quality facilities (aquatic centre, spa and indoor skating rink) and year-round events. Auris-en-Oisans

Nestled in Europe’s highest spruce forest, Auris-en-Oisans enjoys panoramic vistas of La Meije and the Ecrins peaks. The resort is seamlessly connected to the Alpe d’Huez Grand Domaine ski area, offering ‘ski-in/ski-out’ convenience loved by families.

Belledonne ski resorts

The 70-km long Belledonne range is a great introduction to high mountains. Its side valleys offer numerous access points from the Grésivaudan plain in the west to the endless peaks above 2,400 m.
However, don’t expect to drive over any pass to the east: the natural barrier is impassable by car.

This also explains why the snow is particularly deep here.

The highest point is Le Grand Pic de Belledonne at 2,977 m.

Chamrousse

Chamrousse is the ideal resort for a short break and easy getaway, only 30 km from Grenoble and 1.5 hours from Lyon.
