From the Recoin shopping center, a small tarred and signposted road leads directly to the chalet via a few hairpin bends.
The Chalet de Chamrousse is a special refuge, because it's located in a winter sports resort, so it's accessible by car, and "skis on".
It faces due south, above the resort on the Recoin side. On one side, you have immediate access to the resort and the downhill ski area. On the other, a 10-minute walk takes you directly to the Belledonne massif, without lifts, for nature activities.
