Jazz Club de Grenoble
Every thursday at 7.30 PM, except during summer holidays, the Jazz Club, located Salle Stendhal, welcomes well-known international bands, in a warm atmosphere. From blues to modern Jazz, the programming is characterised by its diversity.
The Jazz Club of Grenoble is a non-profit association, according the the 1901's law, aged of more than 60 years but still in the best of its health ! It's major objective is to make easy access to world music, meetings, exchanges using Jazz Music.
The club was created just after the Second World War and, like many other clubs of that time, the concerts took place in the beautiful vaulted cellars of the place St André.
To day, concerts didn't take place under beautiful vaulted cellar but atmosphere is the same (without tobacco smoke). Warm atmosphere, good welcoming and close contact with the musicians are the characteristics of this club.
Since 2007, every thursday, the weekly concerts have been taking place at the Stendhal room, Hauquelin street, just in front of the Grenoble museum. For the 2018-2019 season 35 concerts are progammed in that place.
Jazz Club organize also a Jazz Festival in October, not less than 15 concerts in different places in Grenoble and around. International well known musicians are playing during this festival.
