1) Look out for the first sign "Sentier du ruisseau des Pavés" (Pavés stream path), which will lead you up the path for a while. This path later becomes a smaller track to the right. Soon you'll find yourself close to a small stream. A series of signposts explain the history of the site.
2) Continue uphill, joining a forest track. Turn right for a fine view of the surrounding peaks. The path continues downhill to the right. Beware, it can be slippery. You'll come to a magnificent forest, and should continue until you reach an intersection. At this intersection, take the path that continues downhill, signposted so you don't get lost.
3) This pretty path offers views of the peaks, and you'll pass by some nice fields. Soon you'll come to a yellow hiking signpost entitled "La Chalanne", and follow the signs for Le Châtel up the wide track. Later, you'll come to the parking lot where you left your car beforehand.
