The RD530 leading to the Vénéon valley is closed to vehicular traffic, preventing access to the footpaths leading to the refuges. Work in progress, information coming soon on when the access road will reopen.

At the end of your ascent to the refuge, you can relax on the sunny terrace with a juice or draught beer, and enjoy the exceptional view over the Étages valley.
From the refuge, you can access numerous climbing routes.
Le Soreiller has a capacity of 70 places, divided into different dormitories.
In winter, the refuge has 20 places.
Good to know
Experienced walkers can walk to the hut by the Montagne d'en Bas path before descending by the normal path to complete a satisfying circuit.

3 hr walk from Les Etages.
As it is not inside the National Park, dogs are allowed on leash but must be kept under control since many flocks of sheep graze in the area.
