Orienteering trail at the Etang de Lemps
The trail offers a unique exploration of the local aquatic life and features a panoramic viewpoint as well as an observatory.
In the heart of the Isle Crémieu region hides Lemps Lake, a very typical example of the wetlands of Northern Isère.
The site covers 23 hectares which it shares between Optevoz and Saint-Baudille-de-la-Tour. Virtually untouched since the 18th century, it is home to a whole diversity of fauna - birds, dragonflies and butterflies in particular - and a wealth of vegetation.
The 283 plant species listed here include orchids, marsh pennywort, adder's-tongue and the Italian aster.
With a little patience, you may be lucky enough to spot creatures like the little bittern, the tree frog, the great reed warbler or the large copper butterfly
