Rando Croquis

Departure : Park at the town hall square in Tréminis. You'll find the signs for the "Rando Croquis", which you'll follow along the way. First, follow the signs for the church, which you can see further on. At the "Tréminis église" sign, take the road to the left, then the small path immediately to the right. Then take the stairs that will lead you directly to the church door. Continue through the old cemetery, and you'll be rewarded with a view. You will then come to the first panel entitled "perspective drawing".

1) Leave the cemetery through the gate behind you. Descend into the village. At the fountain intersection, go straight ahead past the inn to the bread oven, where you turn left. A path climbs up and leaves the village, where you'll find the second sign at the entrance to the wood. A view of the summit of Aup unfolds before you.

2) Continue uphill through the woods, cross a field and enter a new, much darker forest, where the next sign awaits you.

3) Continue straight ahead to leave the forest. A pretty balcony offers fine views of the surrounding mountains. You'll then come to the next panel on "trunk design". Practice on the trunk in front of you.

4) Continue through a beautiful pine forest. You'll pass the "Versannes" or continue straight downhill to the sign for "Drawing the Château des Chèvres". The mountain of the same name lies ahead.

5) Continue along the right-hand track, which gradually descends until you reach the Ebron bridge, which you will cross. Enjoy the magnificent view of the Grand Ferrand cirque. You then enter the hamlet of Le Serre as far as the little chapel, where you take the path on the right. You'll come to a small bridge and the next sign is just on the other side. The sign suggests Randocroqueur exercises.

6) Take the path again, going straight ahead. The descent continues as far as La Chenal, where you go straight on. A small, exposed path climbs up through the fields, with pretty vistas visible along the way. Beneath a tree is the next signpost, giving a panoramic view.

7) The path continues and descends further. A new sign is found on the trail, entitled "One subject, 4 techniques". An interesting view of Le Ménil emerges.

8) Finally, head downhill towards Le Collet. Turn right to reach the village of Tréminis l'Eglise. From this point on, you're on a departmental road, so take care. Cross the bridge and then the fields to the village of Tréminis, where you'll find your car.
