Saint-Pierre Church - Brié et Angonnes

  • Historic site and monument

Saint-Pierre Church stands beside the Route Napoléon. Next to it, you can admire the Mairie housed in a remarkable building that is actually the former presbytery.

This church is one of the many local examples of molded cement. Indeed, this technique originated in the Grenoble area and was very much in vogue in the 19th century.
Its foundations date back to 432 AD, but most of the church was rebuilt in the 19th century.
The parish of Brié dates back to the time of Clodion le Chevelu (d. 455).
