The Porte de Bons by e-bike

It's lovely to ride along these roads among beautiful scenery near Les Deux Alpes, through peaceful villages, admiring narrow streets and fountains, oratories and viewpoints with outstanding panoramic views. The Porte de Bons gateway is an unmissable stopping off point.

ROUTE
Starting from Mizoën, ride down to the Chambon dam and take the road up to Les Deux Alpes. Once in Mont de Lans, you have the option of turning left towards the little village of Cuculet and its chapel (a 5 km round trip). On the road out of the village, turn right towards Bons on the D220 and ride down a lovely little road to the D 1091. Take the D 1091 back to Mizoën.

Points of interest en-route:
The Porte de Bons - this monumental archway cut into the rock dates back to Roman times when a road linked Grenoble to Briançon. You can see it just below the hamlet of Bons.
