Ursuline Convent & Brewery
This convent was founded in 1633 by six Ursuline nuns from Bourg-en-Bresse. They lived in the vast buildings that are now occupied by a craft brewery.
The French Revolution saw this building transferred to the State. The Ursuline nuns returned in 1919 and settled into the former private mansion of Count Dubourg, just opposite on the left-hand side of the street in the uphill direction. There, they ran a boarding school for girls. The understated architecture of this former private mansion, bordering on the austere, is typical of the 17th century. Nowadays, the building is used for housing.
